Zombie Makeup
Alright, here is where it gets fun! Zombie makeup is unique to every individual, and is only limited by your imagination. There are several basics that a great zombie needs in order to get ready for the big night.
Many of these items and can be purchased as a kit, or separately. You want to head over to Buy Costumes to find these supplies and many more. There are also some make-up tips that will be helpful.
If you have never worked with liquid latex before, just be sure to read all precautions on the container. Generally, you should test a small area of skin just to make sure you don’t have an allergy. Keep it out of your eyes, nose, mouth, and hair!
Liquid latex can be applied in layers, (usually dries in 15 minutes or so), and the effects can be very dramatic! Oozing blisters, torn skin, cuts and gashes, bullet holes, gaping wounds…..just a few of the disturbing effects that you can produce with latex. A little blood, some coloring with your makeup kit and you are good to go!
You can also add other materials to the latex tocomplete your zombie look. How about some cereal flakes covered with latex to produce a nice scabby effect? Perhaps some rice puffs with layers of latex to create some bleeding carbuncles.
Some toilet paper with a latex coating can be torn to look like rotting flesh flapping in the cool October breeze. Buy Costumes has all the goods for your zombie makeup needs – and at the best prices…..compare and save!

Never actually tried the cereal flakes before, sounds like a winner. I have used oatmeal and it looked pretty decent. I wish Halloween was a 3day holiday that would be awesome in my book. Great tips!
Well done on the content on your site and thank you for the information on the basics regarding makeup. It has given me some great ideas for Halloween.

I’m amazed just how popular zombie costumes (and the makeup that goes with it) are. For instance, some people stage protest marches dressed as zombies. I think this would be hilarious and your political opponent or whoever you are protesting against would find it hard to not smirk at a group of zombies. Great way to disarm them of their arguments. Also zombie pub crawls sound right up my street. I can just imagine the pub regulars when twenty odd zombies walk through the door. They’d think that the apocalypse had arrived.

Hi, I think Your creativity is awesome! Get some liquid latex or eyelash glue. Spread it over your face same way you apply a facial mask, avoiding the eye area. Let dry (dries quickly and colorless) then peel off the areas that you want to seem to be falling off. Thanks.

A few years back I did my own makeup and tried to create the zombie look. I am just not as creative as others…LOL. These are great ideas. I didn’t think about the toilet paper. Oh, and make sure you aren’t allergic to latex by trying a little first on a spot that you can see before putting it on your face.

I think a zombie costume is one of the few costumes that just cannot be pulled off right without the kind of makeup that you are offering here. The fake blood and pasty skin that is falling off is essential.

Makeup is great. This is what can really enhance your look especially if you’re wearing a gothic creature costume. Plus it’s super simple to use and dirt cheap and the whole family can use it.

There are some superb halloween costumes available but none will be as good as they can be without makeup. Alot of people forget the small things like accessories, makup, shoes etc. Thigs like this will really make a good costume into a fantastic costume!

Does this make up cause any effects on skin? Is it safe.
Before applying zombie makeup wash the face thoroughly and remove any facial hair.
